PTV Scoring

No Variation

Minor Variation

Major Variation

Minimum Dose to PTV is at, or above 36.5 Gy, and

95% of PTV is at, or above 36.5 Gy and

Failure to achieve either No Variation or Minor Variation or

Dose heterogeneity <10%.

(MaxdosePTV/38.5Gy <1.10)

Dose heterogeneity < 20%.

(MaxdosePTV/38.5Gy <1.20)

Any critical normal tissue DVH limit exceeding 5% of the specified value.

Organs at Risk (OAR)

The following are normal tissue limits specified for this study.  Any critical normal tissue DVH limit exceeding 5% of the specified value will result in a major variation.

Normal organ

Ipsi-lateral Lung

< 10% of the lung can receive 30% of the prescribed dose.

Contra-lateral Lung

< 10% of the lung should receive 5% of the prescribed dose.

Ipsi-lateral Breast

< 50% of the normal breast to receive > 19.2 Gy and < 25% of the normal breast to receive > 38.5 Gy

Contra-lateral Breast

< 3% of the prescribed dose to any point

Heart (left sided lesions)

The volume of the heart receiving 5% of the prescribed dose (V5) should be < than the V5 for treatment using conventional whole breast radiation with tangential fields

Heart (right sided lesions)

< 5% of the heart should receive 5% of the prescribed dose.

Thyroid

Maximum point dose of 3% of the prescribed dose
